Kenya - Nyeri Igutha AB

$18.00

10 oz light roasted, washed process coffee. As promised, we’ll continue to keep Kenyan coffee in the rotation!

Notes of green grape, cranberry, and Earl Grey tea. This been walks a delicate line between brightness and sweetness, and it’s hard to decide which is more prominent.

The mill that produces this coffee is a part of the Rugi Farmer's Cooperative Society, which provides support to help local farmers with financing, operations, and even marketing. The co-op has ~600 members and has been around since the 1960’s.

This particular coffee underwent a 48 hour fermentation time, followed by a 2-3 week drying time on raised beds. As usual with Kenyan coffee, I prefer to roast it quite light and tend to favor brewing a 20g dose in a V60 or a 38g dose in a Chemex. Feel free to brew over ice as well for a refreshing treat!
